The American idol results night shouldn’t reveal any shockers when it airs on Wednesday on Fox.  We are down to the final four and as bad as he was last night David Cook should be safe.  David Archuleta won the night, but he was boring.  Syesha Mercado had a tough night as well.  She might be voted off when elimination night unravels on Wednesday night.  But it was Jason Castro that really mucked up the works of idol on Tuesday and that makes for a dud of a results night.

I guess we can wait on pins and needles to see if Syesha Mercado or Jason Castro is voted off tonight but really, does it even matter?  We surely won’t see a shocker of David Cook going home and David Archuleta is certainly being groomed for the next ultra boring American idol.  And I thought last season was rock bottom with Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis.

I was certain that the poor performances of late were from the trio of lousy song choices from the likes of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Mariah Carey and Dolly Parton but now it seems like these kids just can’t put together a decent performance.  They had a huge list of song choices from the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” and no one delivered.

Nothing memorable at all came out of last night at all.  In fact, David Cook and Jason Castro were so far off their game it was painful to watch.   All of our American idol coverage is here and check back for the elimination night results live.  We will have them as they come in live from Hollywood from the American idol stage.
