Wrestlemania XXIV will be remembered for Ric Flair’s retirement match and the tremendous Floyd Mayweather vs Big Show No Holds Barred Exhibition, but for over 40 fans it will be a night that was marred by a fireworks mishap that was anything but entertaining.

 The results, courtesy of Wrestling News Desk.Com. JBL pinned Fit Finlay in a Belfast Brawl that was stiff but disappointing.  CM Punk won the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. Matt Hardy did a run-in, which he wanted everyone to know in advance obviously if you check out the internet, and stopped MVP from winning. Punk and Jericho were battling for the briefcase. Surprise finish. I think Shelton Benjamin was the star of the match.

 
Batista pinned Umaga in a match no one will remember.  Kane pinned Chavo Guerrero to become the new ECW Champion in moments. Total squash. Chokeslam, then the 1-2-3.

Shawn Michaels pinned Ric Flair in about 20 minutes after mouthing the words “I’m sorry, I love you…” and hitting Sweet Chin Music. This was really good. Not the super-charged emotional responses everyone was expecting and counting on. Really good, though. They can make it memorable if they play it up big on tv.

In a match that saw a total power failure happen in the middle, Beth Phoenix pinned Maria, so Beth and Melina beat Maria and Ashley Massaro. Beth is just so far and above all other females.  Lawler decked Santino. Snoop Dog creamed Santino with a clothesline afterwards and got to kiss Maria.

Randy Orton retained the WWE Title by pinning John Cena after giving HHH the concussion kick when HHH covered Cena after a Pedigree. Solid match.

Floyd Mayweather used brass knuckles to knock out Big Show in the best match so far of the night. This was great. Show was beating up all of Mayweather’s posse. The guy taking the serious beating was Charles “The Hammer” Evans, who was in OVW Developmental for a long time. Mayweather was great. They got their money’s worth on this one.

Kim Kardashian came out and announced a Citrus Bowl record attendance of 74,635.  The Undertaker defeated Edge via tap out for the Smackdown World Title in a tremendous main event. It took a little time to get going, but once they got into the false finishes, it was really good. Edge hit a spear, Taker wrapped him up in the choke from underneath. Excellent finish to the show.

 
The fireworks mishap occurred after the last match. According to local reports,  fireworks plunged into the crowd and exploded, injuring 45. At least three people were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with burns.  “It felt like a whip. I have a welt on my neck,” victim Barbara Vetere told a local news station, “Like a baseball bat hit me. It was horrible. Horrible.”

A pyrotechnics malfunction sent fireworks and hot cables flying into crowded stands.  “You can see the marks on a few people where hot wires crossed and fireworks touched them,” said Asst. Chief Greg Hoggatt, of the Orlando Fire Department.

Firefighters said they acted quickly, but fans told a different story.  “We had to sit up in the bleachers and wait for a paramedic to come. They didn’t really examine us. And we had to walk all the way down to first aid and had to ask for a bag of ice just to put on our head,” Vetere added.

Angelina Jolie is pregnant, perhaps even with twins.  At least that seems to be the story that everyone has been going with since she stepped out in a form fitting dress right before the Oscars to show off her belly, while refusing to answer questions about her condition.  Earlier this year, she did an exclusive interview with CNN and there was already a report that she was again knocked up.

When the reporter asked the easy question, she refused to answer. Arwa Damon was interviewing Jolie about Iraq and of course she wanted to ask the ten million dollar question.  (That’s the amount Jolie will pocket for photos of her baby, according to recent reports).  Damon tried to ask her if she was pregnant and Jolie cut her off. “Oh don’t.”  Angie said.  “Stop it.  Stay true to your tradition.   You’re CNN.  Don’t do it.”  “I know, that’s why I have to -” Damon reiterated.  “But I don’t have to answer.  OKAY?” Jolie replied.

Well at least Arwa kept her job.  This weekend was another fun one for rumors for the Brangelina gang and supposedly there was a big wedding in New Orleans.  No one noticed, well except fro Star Magazine, which ran the exclusive story online that the pair were now man and wife and had all of the other weekly magazines scrambling.

Few believed it, one called it complete BS and others grabbed their sources and denials were a plenty.  Except from Brad and Angie, they must have enjoyed the SNAFU mess as they said nothing, the only comment from a rep was some lame “I have no idea” and that kept the story going.  

One report is also claiming that the journalist responsible for the story has been fired, but the person is not named and none of the stories online appear to even have a byline so it’s hard to determine of that is even accurate.  Just another lost weekend in the life and times of Jolie and Pitt.  

Britney Spears sixteen-year old little sister Jamie Lynn Spears is seemingly taking a bit more control over her own life these days.  She is sporting a bit of a baby bump now and she has stepped out in a tight brown tee shirt to show it off for the fist time during her pregnancy.  In her earlier public appearances she had chosen to wear baggy College themed sweatshirts and hide her pregnancy.

Now she is not only showing it off a bit she is asking for gifts for the baby.  The television star from the Nickelodeon series Zoey 101 has signed up for a baby registry, People magazine reported this weekend.  Many first believed that it was a hoax, but it seems legitimate.

It lists the event date as July 10, so I guess we can expect a birth in that month, meaning that Jamie Lynn will only have to go through of a bit of the hot and sticky months in Louisiana pregnant.   An earlier report notes that not only did she put her baby bump on display in a photo she had a message for those interested.  Her shirt claimed “The Rumors are true” which everyone seems to think means she is engaged to Casey Aldridge, the man that has been listed as the soon to be baby’s father.

She already has Britney beat, in the registry she is asking for a $300 car seat, so when she does take the little one out she won’t get in the trouble Britney did when she once placed Sean Preston on her lap while driving down the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

Is it a hoax? Thomas Beatie made a big deal about announcing that he was a pregnant man with an article in the Advocate.  The story was immediately questioned as a hoax that was designed to only bring attention to transgender people.  Would there be anything wrong with that, if that were indded the case?

He released a photo that has made the rounds all over the World Wide Web that is to the right.  That made many believe that it was a hoax as well was that he scheduled his press conference for April 1, and that caused many observers and skeptics to toss out the theory that this was nothing more than an elaborate April Fool’s day prank.

One neighbor is very skeptical and outright calls it a hoax.  So is the story of a pregnant Oregon man really a hoax?  We may find out on April Fool’s Day.  The CNN report is here.

Here’s what a neighbor said earlier. “Quite frankly, I think it’s a hoax,” said neighbor Ron Schlieper, according to a report from CNN.  “I saw him a few days ago and he didn’t look like that.”  The neighbor had viewed the photo that was released with the story from the Advocate website.

Is American idol about to go down the same path it did when Taylor Hicks won in season five if David Archuleta captures the crown? Season five was the last decent competition for the show before the season six disaster of singers like Sanjaya Malakar and Blake Lewis.  This season many believed that idol brought in ‘ringers’ to keep the show from falling even lower and it has worked as it has been a lot more fun to watch talented competitors.

But what happens if David Archuleta keeps getting worse each week and still wins the competition?  There are many good singers this year that have better talent, but do they have the votes?  From the guys side, David Cook has emerged as the best overall talent and Michael Johns has a good shot at the top five as well.  

Two of the female contestants Brooke White and Carly Smithson will also be around, and at least one will make the top three.  But with his rabid fans that vote early and often I can’t see David Archuleta losing this thing.  And that’s where the Hicks comparison comes in, what happens then?  The 17-year old surely has youth on his side but his singing style is a bit off for marketing.

Will it be a Taylor Hicks redux?  Hicks won the competition easily two years ago, but when he got out in the real world of music his star faded fairly quickly.  He had rabid fans that were certain he was the next “Elvis” and David Archuleta’s fans are also certain he is the biggest rising star on tap.  I didn’t see it with Hicks and though youth may give David an edge, I’m not certain he is destined for top level stardom either.  Is the Hicks comparison fair, we will see as David continues to sing, but he really needs to deliver a star performance soon.  Check out all of our American idol coverage here including analysis and predictions.

The brother of late R&B superstar Gerald Levert has been found dead in a jail in Clevaland, Ohio. Sean Levert, who is also the son of lead O’Jays singer Eddie Levert was just 39 years old.  He was incarcerated for failure to pay child support in Ohio and reports details that he had been “acting strangely” before his death.

According to a report from the Associated Press jail house guards were keeping an eye on him due to the way he was acting and the report also says that he was “sick”.  He had been having hallucinations as well, the report details.

He also suffered from high blood pressure but right now it appears that there are a lot more questions than answers.  Fox News 8 in Cleveland has a report that claims that Levert’s body was immediately taken to the coroner and the television station reports that it has confirmed with Cuyahoga County Coroner’s Office spokesman Powell Caesar that Sean Levert’s body had been received.

An autopsy and pending toxicology reports are said to be planned but the results of those tests will take weeks before they are made public.

It has worked for Audrina Patridge, Ashley Dupre and Kristin Davis, so why not for one of the original WWE divas?  Before joining World Wrestling Entertainment, Playboy Model and Go Daddy Super Bowl commercial spokesperson Candice Michelle participated in a hidden camera show that was so sexual, so sensual, so controversial, the tape has not been seen in a couple of years.

But after that delay and with all of the wild celebrity leaks of photos and video making their way to the World Wide Web, the tape has re-emerged online, and it’s a wild, scandalous action-packed video that has to be seen to be believed.

 
In the video, Candice and a hot blonde friend are interviewing prospective new employees at a lingerie store, and end up giving totally nude lap dances to the guys interviewing for the job. Plus, a naked Candice goes into the dressing room with one of the gents as well!

“I don’t think WWE fans will think any less of Candice,” joked Wrestling News Desk editor Matthew Cooper, “She’s already known as a sexpot. Hell, she plays one on television. Marsha Garces Williams, wife of actor Robin Williams, filed for divorce last week citing “irreconciliable differences”.  Although Robin is best known for his comedic skills, he has a long history of drug and alcohol addiction and it is rumored that Marsha filed divorce papers after her ultimatum failed to wean him from his addictions.

 The astrological chart of Robin Williams shows a fascinating blend of comic genius and tragic emotional pain, the combination of which appears to be essential in all of the great comic minds.  Williams, with a Cancer Sun, also has a Pisces Moon and Scorpio rising.  This heavy watery influence shows his intensely sensitive emotional nature, and a tendency to lose himself (Pisces Moon) into his environment.  Mercury (mental function) in his chart is in the fun-loving sign of Leo, and Leo is the King of Comedy.  That Mercury sits prominently on the Midheaven of his chart, demonstrating his ability to connect with the public (Midheaven) through his ability to express his thoughts and ideas (Mercury).  Pluto (intensity and drama) conjoins his Mercury which suggests a powerful mind with an obsessive nature.

Saturn (challenges and disappointments) in Williams’ chart is in an exact challenging aspect (square) to Chiron (wounding and healing), indicating a psyche that is extremely sensitive with a tendency towards experiencing life in a way that brings up painful psychic and emotional wounds.  Ideally an individual with this combination of planets will seek healing of these old wounds, but the easiest way to deal with them is to numb them with addictions.  Transiting Saturn passed over the ascendant of Williams’ chart (his “rising sign”) back in late July of 2006 which resulted in his admitting himself to rehab in August of that year.

 
Williams experienced another difficult cycle when transiting Pluto made a pass over the Saturn/Chiron system in his chart back in January of 2007 and remained within one degree of that painful system throughout the year.  Williams’ older brother died in August of that year, but I suspect the entire year was extremely difficult for Williams as Pluto applied consistent pressure on any unhealed old wounds that remained in his psyche.
Williams’ family-oriented nature has not kept him from infidelity in the past; his first marriage ended after an affair with his current wife who was at the time the nanny to his children and evidently this was not his first adulterous episode. 

Venus in Williams’ chart is in Virgo, which often tends to be rather prudish and perfectionistic, and it opposes that Pisces Moon.  Challenging aspects between Venus (love and beauty) and the Moon (nurturing and sensitivity) denote an individual who finds it difficult to reconcile their emotional needs (Moon) in their relationships (Venus), and the archetypes of the sexual goddess (Venus) with the maternal figure (Moon).  This is the classic “madonna/whore” complex and while this is not universally true it does sometimes indicate a proclivity in a man’s chart to separate the two.  In December, transiting Saturn came very close to the Moon/Venus combination in his chart and doubtless intensified his depression.
 
This is a difficult time for Robin Williams, and I hope that he will be able to resolve his demons that are the burden accompanying his tremendous gifts.

There are already trailers leaking online and now X-Files creator Chris Carter is talking about the most highly anticipated film of the summer for Sci-Fi fans and dedicated X-Files viewers.  Many will be there on the very first night crowding into theaters and everyone wants to know what is next for Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson).

Well? It’s been ten years and now Chris Carter, who co-wrote and directed the upcoming X-Files sequel film, offered fans a glimpse at a rough cut of the trailer for the movie, which featured the new tagline “Believe Again.”

Oh we believe all right. “While this is not a mythology movie, it’s true to everything that’s come before,” writer Frank Spotnitz said at the William S. Paley Television Festival. “It’s true to Mulder and Scully, who they are and where they would be this point in their lives and all of the experiences that they’ve had.”

On the title Carter said,  “I know what I want it to be, but Fox has ideas of their own, I know what it should be.”  The trailers are here.  Carter added the the film will take place in the present day and will use a plotline conceptualized when the series ended in 2002.

Having watched “One Life to Live” every day since it came on the air, I consider myself an expert on the show. I am positive when Blair first came on the show, she was Asian. Am I mistaken? — Claire in Pocatello, Idaho.

A: Nope. When Blair first came to town in 1991, Asian-American actress Mia Korf played her. In the original story Blair was the product of rape. Her mother, Addie, a longtime patient in a sanitarium, was raped by an Asian hospital orderly. For two years that was Blair’s back-story. In 1993, Korf was replaced by Kassie DePaiva. With that re-cast, Blair’s original past was forgotten.

As for Korf, she appeared in the film “Jerry Maguire.” In 2006, she had a recurring role in the short-lived prime time series “Vanished.” One thing that has always been a constant for Blair is her mother, Addie, played by famed stage actress Pamela Payton Wright. No longer suffering from her emotional problems, Addie is back in Blair’s life. Addie has gone from a shy, confused, occasionally dangerous character to a hot, loving mama who says and does whatever she likes. Lately, Addie has been giving better advice than Solomon.

Q: Recently “All My Children” has mentioned the character Jenny. Is she going to return? — Roni in Pitts, Pa.

A: No. Tad’s sister Jenny is dead. No, really, really sincerely dead. Jenny was killed when her jealous boyfriend tried to kill her lover, Greg. Jenny was the one killed when the Jet Ski she was riding on exploded. Kim Delaney played Jenny. At the time, Tad, Jenny, Jesse and Liz were friends, enemies and focal points of the show. As for Jenny, yeah, we know Jesse came back from the dead after 20 years. Trust us. Jenny is one body that will stay buried.
 

Q: I am thrilled that John is back on “Days of Our Lives.” Can you go over some of John’s past lives? — Rona in Dothan, Ala.

A: So many to choose from. When John first came to town, he had been in an accident and had to undergo total reconstructive surgery. Spending a year under bandages, when John came to he did not recall his past. For that first year, he went by the name “The Pawn.” In 1986, the bandages were removed. Marlena thought he might be her presumably dead husband, Roman Brady. Forget that the original Roman (Wayne Northrop) was 5-foot-8 and the new Roman (Drake Hogestyn) was over 6 feet tall.

When the real Roman returned, now played by an actor (Josh Taylor) who was as tall as the faux Roman, The Pawn, who was now using the name John Black, decided to search for his past. What a past. John Black’s nine lives include Forrest Alamain, a man raised by wolves. In Switzerland, he was mercenary John Stevens and later turned out to be Father John Black. In the end, the priest story line came and went with a head-writing change. Today, John Black has been revealed to be a member of the DiMera clan. In this incarnation, Stefano has put John’s memory on a computer disc. For now, John is nasty, ruthless and powerful.
